On behalf of the Ministry of Municipal, State of Qatar, kpm3 has officially realized the world record as the tallest free-standing 3D-printed tower.

The 12.1 meter high Pigeon Tower is one of the four towers representing the DESERT NEST for the Qatar Pavilion at the EXPO FLORIADE 2022 Almere NL.

The tower is built with a total of 66 printed elements and weights over 63 tons. Only the top stone brings a weight of 3.5 tons to the tower, build on 11 rings and closed with the massive end stone holding the construction together.

It was a challenge for everyone involved to develop, produce and assemble a prototype within three months of project and construction time.
