The former film studio TON 1 of the Berlin Union Film Ateliers has been transformed into a unique and multifunctional event space for Atelier Gardens.

The film studio with a dimension of 650 m2 was completely renovated by kpm3 in cooperation with MVRDV, Hirschmüller Schindele Architects, Harris Bugg Studio and other partners for Fabrix UK and converted into a multifunctional event space.

The new design of the listed, almost 100-year-old film studio is characterized by the innovative room separation system; a construct of rails with curtains that can be used in different ways and lighting options that structure the space and enable new uses.

The room separation system was designed and manufactured by our partner company MKTengineering GmbH & Co. KG Maisach DE.

TON 1 is a milestone within the general concept of the Atelier Gardens campus.
